Hearing
Hearing loss
Struggling to follow conversations, turning up the TV or asking people to repeat themselves.

Overview
Hearing loss usually happens slowly, so family and friends often notice it before you do. It is very common: about one in three adults over 65 has some hearing loss.
Most hearing loss can’t be reversed, but it can be managed well. The sooner you get tested, the easier it is to adjust to hearing aids or other support.
Symptoms
You often ask people to repeat themselves
Conversations are hard to follow in restaurants or groups
Others say the TV or radio is too loud
Voices sound muffled, especially women’s and children’s voices
You feel tired after social events from working hard to listen
How we treat it
We start with a full hearing test in a quiet booth. You see your results on screen, and we explain them in plain language and in writing.
If hearing aids would help, we show you the options and let you try them before you decide. We also share tips and devices for phone calls, TV and group conversations.
Typical recovery time
Book a hearing test online. You get your results the same day.
