Everything you need to know before your first appointment: how to book, what to bring, how long it takes and what happens afterwards.
Three steps, no surprises
Nothing is decided until you have agreed to the plan.
Book online, by text or by email
Choose a time that suits you. You never need to call. If your hearing changed suddenly, tell us and we will offer the earliest slot.
Hearing check
We ask about your hearing and daily life, look in your ears and test your hearing in a quiet booth. It takes about 60 minutes.
Your written results
You leave with your results and our advice in writing, including any costs. You decide what happens next.

Before and after your appointment
Before you come
Avoid loud noise, such as concerts or power tools, for 24 hours before a hearing test. If your ears feel blocked, tell us when you book so we can check for ear wax first.
What to bring
Photo ID and your insurance card
Any referral letter or earlier hearing test results
A list of the medicines you take
Glasses or hearing aids, if you use them
A family member or friend, if you would like a second pair of ears
How long it takes
Plan for about 60 minutes: 50 minutes with your audiologist and a few minutes to check in. Follow-up visits last 30 to 90 minutes, depending on the service.
What happens next
You leave with your results in writing and a clear plan: what we recommend, what it costs and what happens next. You decide whether to continue. We only send a summary to your doctor if you ask us to.
Nervous about your first appointment?
That is completely normal, and you are not alone. You can bring a friend or family member into the room with you.
You can ask us to slow down, stop or skip any test at any time. Nothing happens until you agree to it.
